Flora "Jean" Garcia

June 24, 1946 — July 13, 2017

Flora "Jean" Garcia passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 after suffering a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Flora Jean (Brown) was born in Koosharem, UT on June 24, 1946. She was raised in Richfield, UT where she attended high school. Jean also completed work at BYU and Cal State University, Long Beach.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Garcia; son, Bryce Garnell Garcia; and daughter, Brianna Jeanine Garcia, all of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Robert Brown, Michael and Ross Shedden; and sister, Patricia Schwampe, and an aunt Ana Lou Williams, all of the Salt Lake City area.

"Heaven was created for saints like Jean and she will be deeply missed by many."

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

A reception will immediately follow the  service in the Wyoming Sun Room Reception Center, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Inurnment will be held at 2:15 pm on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
