Flora A Sedillo

Flora A. Sedillo 94, of Socorro, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at her home following a long illness.

 Flora was born on August 16, 1930, in Quemado, New Mexico to Leopoldo and Genoveva Archuleta. She married Jose Ramon “Ruben” Silva, and they resided in Lemitar, New Mexico. They had three daughters Josephine Silva-Sena (Larry), Del Silva and Theresa Silva (deceased). She raised her daughters with the help of her mother, sisters and brothers. Many years later she married William Sedillo (deceased) and they also had three children, Kenny Sedillo (Angel) (deceased), Pamela Sedillo (deceased), and Dennis Sedillo(Sonia, Martha). During those times, Flora worked at Socorro Consolidated Schools in the cafeteria (when the food was good). To her final days she was very picky about how food was prepared. 

 She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Larissa Sena (Avery), Daryl Silva (Alijah), Anthony Sedillo & Donna Sanchez (Jonah & Silas), Desiree Sedillo & Felipe Jiron (Diane Monique & Kendra Grace), Dayna Sedillo (Zane), and Devon Sedillo. She also loved her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Her surviving siblings include Pete Archuleta (Marcela), Ruben Archuleta (Lorraine), Jenny Thompson (J.T.), Mary Edwards (Les), and Louise Archuleta.

She was preceded in death by siblings Ambrosio Archuleta, Aniceto Archuleta (Ninfa), David Archuleta (Cecilia), Dolores Haligrda (Frank), and Alex Archuleta (Virgie). 

Funeral Services will be held at La Sagrada Familia Catholic Church in Lemitar, New Mexico on February 8, 2025, Rosary at 9:30, Mass at 10:00, burial to follow at Lemitar Catholic Cemetery. 

She will be missed by family and many friends. Go in peace with our Lord!
