Florabelle Coulloudon

Florabelle Coulloudon, 88, of Socorro, passed away March 13, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Funeral services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services in Socorro, New Mexico on March 17, 2018 at 12pm.  Private burial will follow.

Florabelle was born to Paul and Sylvia (Moore) Shellenberger on May 12, 1929 in Oshkosh, Nebraska.  She was an only child.  She attended high school in Grand Island, Nebraska and graduated in 1946.  After graduating from high school, she moved with her parents to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she attended the University of New Mexico and later worked at Kirkland Air Force Base.

Florabelle married Alfred “Al” Coulloudon in October 1952.  They moved to Socorro in 1956 and raised their family there.  She worked for several years as head teller at the Bank of Socorro, was a member of the former Socorro Garden Club and various bridge clubs.  She was a founding member of the Socorro Civitan and served as president for several years. She resided in Socorro for over 60 years.

Florabelle was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed music, traveling, reading, volunteering, playing bridge and spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid reader and talented bridge player.

Florabelle is preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter; Brequel and husband of 45 years, Al Coulloudon.  She is survived by four children, Suzanne, Alfred “Bill”, Paulette and Jeanette, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
