Floyd L. Pacheco Sr. passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 26, 2021 at the age of 77.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Estella Pacheco of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; daughter, Ann Pacheco (Andrew) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Sharon Pacheco of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; granddaughter, Lauren Pacheco of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; grandsons, Mateo Fresquez and Collin Pacheco of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; brothers; David (Jeanne); Dan (Patrice); sister; Karen (Pasquale); In-laws, Gabriel and Vita; Eloy and Cora; Dolores, Fabie, Molly and Georgia; numerous special nieces and nephews that were dear to his heart. He is preceded in death by his mother, Senaida Pacheco; his father, Amadeo Pacheco Jr.; and his son, Floyd L. Pacheco Jr.
He was born on July 9, 1943 in Mora, New Mexico to Senaida and Amadeo Pacheco Jr. He graduated from Robinson High School. He married Estella A. Vigil on January 31, 1970 in St. Anthony’s Church in Dixon, New Mexico. He loved his wife for over 50 beautiful years.
Floyd is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Vietnam) and National Defense Service Medal. Floyd was proud to have served in the Navy for 4 years.
After 25 years of service, he retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation. He was a man of few words, but was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. He loved his whole family and adorned his grandkids.

Floyd will be remembered for his quiet nature and his enduring devotion to his family.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Presbyterian Hospital as well as the staff at Daniels Family Funeral Services.
His final resting place will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
