Morgan, Forrest Forrest C. Morgan of Albuquerque died on July 2, 2011 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by hid wife Barbara J. of Albuquerque, son Forrest C. Morgan II of Kapoli, HI, and daughter Kathy Haran of Huston, TX, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Forrest was born November 11, 1924 in Webb City, OK. He graduated high school from Webb City and from the University of Oklahoma in 1944 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He served in the US Navy and US Marine Corp during both World War II and The Korean War. Forrest was a Registered Professional Engineer and owned two patents for oil fields technology and had authored numerous articles on multi-zone drilling techniques. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Company where he had worked for 38 years, holding positions in Bartlesville and Shidler, Oklahoma; Hobbs, New Mexico; Borger and Odessa, Texas; and Stavanger, Norway where he served as Drilling and Production Manager. He later served as Manager Director of a European Consortium for an LNG project in Nigeria and as a Special Projects manager for business in the Far East. He was a long time member of Toastmasters, a lifetime tennis enthusiast winning in both singles and doubles tournaments, and played on a team that went to the USTA National tournament three times. He loved playing the piano, writing music, and was a bridge enthusiast where he achieved the rank of Silver Life Master. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
