Frances L. Ruby, 87, died Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Geneva, Alabama on September 28, 1928, to Lee Roy and Cozie McDuffie. After spending her childhood in southern Alabama and northern Florida, her family moved to Emporia, Kansas. She married Fred Ruby from Marion County, Kansas on June 15, 1948. They lived in Kansas for eleven years and had four children; Pat, Mike, Joe, and Kathy. In 1959 the family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Frances began working for the Federal Government as a bookkeeper at Sandia Base. In 1970 Frances and Fred, along with their daughter Kathy, moved to Haltom City, Texas. While living in Texas, Frances worked for the FAA until she retired. After Fred's death in 1990, Frances moved back to Albuquerque where she enjoyed sewing, ceramics, crocheting, reading, and working in her garden. Frances is survived by her daughter Pat Moore and husband Bill, daughter Kathy Gable and Roger, son Joe Ruby, wife Pam, and daughter-in-law Donna Ruby. She has ten grandchildren and many great grand-children, nieces, and nephews.
Frances will be buried next to her at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am.
