BURTON - Francis C. "Frank" Burton, age 90 of Albuquerque, passed away on June 19, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Anne of 25 years. He was born in Bethany WV on March 4, 1919 to William N. and Florence Burton. Frank graduated from the University of New Mexico, received a certificate from the Bureau of Highway Traffic at Yale University. He worked in Transportation Engineering in Albuquerque, Colorado, Seattle, Atlanta and Cairo, Egypt. He served in WWII 798th Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of the National Honorary Civil Engineering Fraternity and was actively involved with the friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. Frank also loved gardening. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel of Follansbee WV and sister, Arline of Miles Ohio; his son-in-law, William Hile Sr.; and his grandson, William Leo Hile, Jr. Frank is survived by his sisters, Beulah Campbell of Stowe Ohio, Bessie Eddy of Follansbee, WV, Jean Armstrong and her husband Leo of Hemet, CA; his brother, Alan and his wife Donna of Fairview NC; his daughter, Corene Hile of Mesa, Arizona; his granddaughters, Mary Michelle of Yonkers, NY, Linda of Cleveland Heights, OH; grandson Charles and wife Sarah of Richmond, VA; Sons-in-law of Albuquerque, Steve Gallea and his wife Linda, Alan Gallea; grandchildren, Eric, Roy and Elizabeth Gallea; and great-grandchildren; Connor and Ashley Hile, Caiden and Mia Gallea.
