Francisco Paco"" Gonzalez

GONZALEZ- Francisco “Paco” Gonzalez, loving father, husband, grandfather and mentor, 74, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Mr. Gonzalez was born on April 1, 1937 to Servando Rafael and Maria Luisa Gonzalez of El Paso, TX. He graduated in 1966 with a degree in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University. He began his career with Sandia National Laboratories in 1967 and retired in 2008 after 42 years of service. Mr. Gonzalez was very dedicated to his family and his Catholic faith. He exemplified his love for God and our Blessed Mother to all who came to know him. He was a parishioner of Church of the Ascension for many years. He will be remembered for his deep love of work and attention to helping all in need. Mr. Gonzalez was an extremely generous man who was greatly gratified in giving to others. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Gonzalez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Irene (Lechuga) Gonzalez; children, Victor Gonzalez and his wife, Michelle, Veronica Montano, Sandraluz Gonzalez, Sergio Gonzalez and his wife, Sara, all of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Angelica, Santiago, Mateo and Alicia Gonzalez, Mia Montano, Mireya Sauceda-Gonzalez, and Citlalli Gonzalez; siblings, Teresa Sedeno and her husband, Abel, Anita Valdez, Coby Sanchez and her husband, Albert, Josefina Acosta, Lupe Uranga and her husband, Abel, Ruth Ridelhuber and her husband, Wendell, Luis Gonzalez, Rafael Gonzalez, Jr. and his wife, Irma, Inez Franklin and her husband, Jerry; and many nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Road SW, Albuquerque. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, also at Church of the Ascension. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
