Frank Pete (Frankie) Chavez 40, left a memorable mark on the lives of all who knew him, and his passing on March 5, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a tremendous loss. Frank’s kindness and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone was truly a gift. He was always the first to volunteer and his work ethic was unwavering. Frankie’s passion for his family and work was evident in everything he did. Frankie worked at UPS for the last four years and was an employee of the week on multiple occasions. Prior to UPS he worked for many years in the dentistry field as a 3D technician. As a devoted and loving son, brother, boyfriend, nephew, cousin, and friend, Frankie’s legacy will be deeply felt, and he will be profoundly missed.
Frankie was born on December 20, 1984, in Albuquerque NM to Joann Loretta Chavez (Crespin) and Robert Chavez.
Growing up, Frankie’s enthusiasm for football, fishing and hunting was contagious, and he remained a loyal San Francisco fan throughout his life.
Frankie met the love of his life, Ashley, in October of 2022, and he planned to propose to her later this month. They loved fishing, long walks, eating and cooking together, and cuddling watching survival TV shows.
Frankie is survived by his girlfriend Ashley Irvin; his mother, Joann Crespin (Ysidro) his father Robert Chavez (Loretta); his siblings Robert Chavez Jr. (Tali), Jennie Rietman (Dan), Martin Chavez; his step siblings Stephen Barreras (Jessica), Jaime Jones (Marcus), Amanda Barreras (Rudy); his aunts and uncles; Augustine Crespin, Joe Crespin (Cruzita), Cathy Crespin, Victoriana Crespin, Lupe Montoya (Michael), Roger Crespin (Zenobia), Mable Jayne, Lorenzo Chavez (Chenta), Marcella Segovia (Ron), Valerie Tourville (Tim), Walter Atencio; his nephews & nieces; Serena Chavez, Patrick Chavez, Havanna Chavez, Garic Rietman, Adelia Perry, Zaedra Perry, Shania Chavez, Shanelle Chavez, Jody Chavez, Gabriel Sedillo, Jazmine Sandoval, Isaiah Sandoval, Dominick Barreras, Ryan Barreras, Hope & Faith Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Joe & Jennie Crespin, Gilbert Chavez, Lillian Ulibarri, Dolores Garcia. Uncles, Mateo Crespin and Moe Chavez.
