Ortega, Frank passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Frank was born to Frank and Sylvia Ortega on March 29, 1940 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws Felimon and Dora Martinez. Frank is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Angelina Ortega; daughter, Frances and her fianc�, Matthew Cox; his sister, Pat Rasband; brothers-in-law, Jimmie (Anna), Dale (Cindy) and Felimon Martinez; sisters-in-law Marlene (Don) Lightburn, Carla (Michael) Sanchez and several nieces, nephews great nephews and great nieces. Frank was much loved and will be missed by all. After graduating from the University of New Mexico Frank began a 30 year career in education in California. He taught high school in Delano and Encinitas, California. He retired as a school counselor from San Dieguito High School in Encinitas. In 2007 he and Angelina relocated to Albuquerque to be near family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 24 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary~Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave. SW. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Therese Shrine of the Little Flower, 300 Mildred Ave. NW at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary. A memorial service for Frank will be held at a later date in California. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation www.parkinson.org or to the Michael J.
