Frank Wiley Jr., age 74, went home to be with his Lord March 14, 2014. He was born March 4, 1940, in San Carlos, AZ, to Ethel and Frank Wiley Sr. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lena Wiley; his children: Dorinda Kay Bradley and husband Benjamin, Michael James Wiley, and Frank Wiley III; his grandchildren: Jeremy Benjamin Bradley, Miquelina Frances Bradley, and Evangeline Louise Bradley; his brother: Jerome Wiley Sr.; his sisters: Thelma Hinton, Lillian Welsh; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and was grandpa to many. And his special adopted grandchild, Sasha, who would bring him smiles and laughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Jasper Wiley. Frank was born and raised in San Carlos, AZ. He attended St. John�s Catholic school, Ft. Apache and Theodore Roosevelt HS. Later he attended Haskell Indian School in Lawrence, KS, where he also met his wife to be. Frank later attended Laney College, in Oakland, CA, where he attained skills and training to be an Iron Worker. He worked as an Iron Worker for many years and was part of the San Francisco Bay Area � Local 790 Iron Workers Union. Many buildings in the city of San Francisco, as well as the MGM Grand Hotels had structural framework built by the company he had worked for. He lived for 41 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and later resided for 13 years in Rio Rancho, NM following retirement. Frank loved the outdoors. He spent his summers fishing and camping; enjoyed hunting with his sons; and at one point in his life participated in free diving and later recreational SCUBA diving. Most of his dives were in the Monterey/Carmel, CA area at Monastery Beach. He loved his SF 49ers and the SDSU Aztecs teams (where his son Frank III works). Frank loved to joke and loved to share stories of his early life experiences. But most of all he loved to sing his apache songs , he found strength and prayer in them . The Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 7:00 pm in San Carlos, AZ at the house of Mary Kinney; with mass to be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, San Carlos, AZ at 9:00 am. Final Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, March 24, 2014, at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, with burial service to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Frank will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
