Fred Andrew Lucero

Fred Andrew Lucero went to be with his creator on September 23, 2020.  Fred was born on November 10, 1947 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Arthur and Alice Lucero.  Fred was a graduate of St. Pius X High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps.  Upon his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps he went on the earn a bachelors degree in business from Adams State College and a masters of business administration degree from New Mexico Highlands University.  On July 15th, 1972, Fred married the love of his life Theresa Maxine Trujillo.  Fred continued to serve his community as a member of the United States Postal Service until his retirement.  Fred was a loving, loyal husband, father, proud grandfather, and caring brother.  He enjoyed spending his free time with his son and grandsons, watching sports (especially the UNM Lobos), and taking care of his fellow veterans.  Fred was a dedicated and patriotic veteran who enthusiastically supported veterans programs and causes around the Albuquerque area.  Fred is preceded in death by his wife Theresa Maxine, parents Arthur and Alice Lucero, sisters Patricia and Catherine Lucero.  Fred is survived by his son Michael Lucero, daughter in law Nichole Lucero, grandsons Luke and Andrew Lucero, sister Terri Lucente, nieces, nephew, numerous cousins, and friends.  A funeral mass will be held at Saint John XXIII Catholic Community on Friday, October 9th at 10 A.M.  A private burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Vietnam Veterans of America.  Semper Fi Marine
