Fumi Evans

Evans, Fumi Fumi (Shioma) Evans, aged 78, died peacefully on Sunday morning, July 27, 2014 at her daughters home, after a brief struggle with cancer. Fumi was born October 13th, 1935, in Kian, Okinawa, the daughter of Kamae and Nto Shioma. In 1961, Fumi married the love of her life John V. Evans Jr., Fumi truly enjoyed archery and golfing with her husband. She learned Okinawan dancing later in life and it became her new passion. Fumi was a member of Okinawa Kenjinkai. In addition to raising her husbands three sons, John, Larry and Gary they also raised five daughters, Anita, Betty, Elizabeth, Nancy and Kathy. Fumi is survived by her sister who still resides in Okinawa, Japan and her daughters, Anita, Nancy and Kathy. Her husbands sons, John and Larry.
