Gabriele Leithead

Leithead, Gabriele
age 59, passed away March 12, 2016 after a brief illness.  She was born May 21, 1956 in Machen Road, Germany.  Gabriele had been a resident of Rio Rancho since 1973. Her creative spirit was born out in many ways. She enjoyed working with arts, crafts and scrapbooking and she also liked to cook and bake. Gabriele was very actively involved in helping homeless veterans. She was a vital part of the Patriot Guard and stood strong for Rio Rancho police officer Nigel Benner. The generous and creative spirit that Gabriele so freely gave will be missed by all her family and friends.  She is survived by her mother, Waltraud (Ann) Nazeres; brother, Arno Nazeres and wife Sharon; sisters, Faith Kurkewicz, Katherine Grossmiller and husband Jacob, and Evelyn Davis. Gabriele is also surviving by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.  She has now rejoined her husband and soulmate, Harold, who preceded her in death in 2011. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 followed by a service at 1 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho with interment at Vista Verde Memorial Park immediately following.  For more information or to leave a message of condolence, please visit: www.danielsfuneral.com
