Obituary Gail Heron Sterling
Gail Heron Sterling was born on May 23rd,1949 and returned to the spirit world on October 26th 2019
Gail Heron Sterling was a loving, wonderful and dynamic woman. Gail had a passion for living life to the fullest and especially enjoyed meeting people from all cultures and lifestyles. The study of Egyptian history, culture and it’s development and contributions to modern society was one of her greatest passions and interest’s. Gail was also very creative. She enjoyed designing jewelry, painting, writing, poetry, traveling, and meditating to name a few. In fact, she became an Advanced Transcendental Meditation (TM)Instructor and studied abroad in Europe under the direction of Maharish Mahish Yogi, who created T.M. Gail was also a Healer. Gail earned several certificates, national and international recognitions for her ability to relieve pain and suffering with her touch. To further her ability to heal Gail became a Reiki Master. At an earlier age, Gail worked under a world renowned Bonsai Master, Yuji Yoshimuri, of Japan, where she studied the Art of Bonsai and Feng Shui at Briarcliff Manor in Up-State New York. In addition, Gail was intimately involved in all of nature’s pleasures. She loved the outdoors. In fact she owned several “walking sticks” which she used in her hikes. Gail saw life’s energy in all animate and inanimate objects; rock’s, crystal’s, plants ,rivers and streams, mountains and all living creatures. Gail grew up in Darien ,Connecticut, graduated from Darien H.S and enjoyed the best comforts that life could offer. Professionally speaking, she was most comfortable working in the Business Industry. Prior to relocating and retiring in New Mexico Gail worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Deloitte-Touche and Babcock and Brown both located in Greenwich Connecticut. For a brief time she worked for the Heart Institute of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Gail’s parents were William Douglas Sterling and Suzanne Sterling .After her mothers remarriage, Gail’s step-father was William F. Todd. Mr. Todd (Bill)served as Petroleum Economist for the Arab American Oil Company(Aramco) in Saudi Arabia from 1948 until his retirement in 1986.After his retirement, Bill and Suzanne lived at the Country Club of North Carolina at Pinehurst. Both were passionate golfers. Gail is survived by two sisters Terry and Allison and a brother Doug; a step-sister Ellen and a step-brother Mitch. She also left behind a hosts of cousins, nieces and nephews. Her lifelong partner of 24 years, Charles Cooper and their Blue Healer “Sherlock” reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
