Garland "Dale" Childress, 78 of Aztec, NM, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in Aztec. He was born Nov. 29, 1930 in Maryville, MO, to Clarence and Emma Childress. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Gwen, brother Dean, sister Diane, and former wife Lucy. Survivors are his wife, Shirley of Aztec, NM, brother, Don of San Carlos, Mex., sons Mel and wife Deb of Florida, Mike of Cody, WY, Mitch of Moses Lake, WA, stepson Troy Borron of NM, stepdaughters Tana Jerde and husband Karl of Wisconsin and Tara Van Riperand Husband Allen of NM, 11 grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.
