Gary Anthony McIntyre

McIntyre, Gary Anthony Gary McIntyre, age 69, passed away on March 16, 2012. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his wife of 45 years, Jane; his children Robin McIntyre, Chelsea Fortescue and husband Richard, Jeffrey McIntyre and wife Margaret, and Stevee McIntyre and husband Leo Silbert; and his grandchildren Amanda, Johanna, Samuel, Sidney, and Sarah. He will also be missed by other family members and many friends. Gary was born in Galveston, TX on Nov. 11, 1942. He grew up in Albuquerque, St. Louis, and California. He went to Cameron Junior College in Lawton, OK where he played football and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas where he graduated with a BBA. In 1967-69, he was in the Army and served in Vietnam. He has been a long-time resident of Albuquerque. Gary was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family at track meets, baseball and soccer games, swim meets, and concerts. Gary had a love of music and landscaping. He had a great sense of humor and a zest for life that affected those around him. He was an excellent storyteller and his stories will be remembered for years to come.
