Baldock, Gearald (Jerry) Dean Age 82, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2013. He was born in Snyder, Oklahoma on August 20, 1930 to Walter Cleveland Baldock and Ola Richey. Jerry was the youngest of 3 brothers and 5 sisters and spent his childhood growing up in Texico and Clovis, New Mexico. Jerry served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952. Much of his service was spent in Germany working to rebuild communications systems. After his service in the military, Jerry was lead to his career with Mountain Bell in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he retired in 1981 after 33 years of service. Jerry met his wife, Della, while working in Los Alamos. The two were married and raised one beautiful daughter, Terri. Jerry�s heart of service kept him busy with volunteering for the Special Olympics and an active member and commander for the Veteran of Foreign Wars, all the while tending to his family, his farming and tending to hi immaculate and lush yard. Jerry was an avid fisherman and camper. He and Della spent their free time traveling, camping and fishing. He was a hard worker and carpenter and enjoyed rebuilding their Angel Fire oasis where they spent a lot of their retirement. When it was cold in Northern New Mexico, the couple spent 15 winters as snowbirds in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Jerry is survived by his, daughter, Terri Gonzales and husband, Karl; two grandchildren, Monica and Kyle; his brother Walter Baldock; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. �Celebration of Life� service will be held in the Strong-Thorne Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave. SE on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. There will be a viewing at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral services lead by his nephew, Steve Baldock, at 10:30am, and family meal at 12:00. The burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 3:00pm. Serving as pallbearers; Kyle Gonzales, Joe Williams, Perry Jackson, Robert Roybal and Benny Roybal.
