Gene Paul Lucero

Gene Lucero, age 69, passed away September 9, 2022. He was born in Los Alamos on August 22, 1953, to Mariano and Guadalupe Lucero.

He was preceded in death by his father Buddy (Mariano) Lucero and his mother Pita (Guadalupe) Lucero.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Bertha Lucero, his brothers Mariano Lucero Jr and Gerald Lucero from Santa Fe, NM, his 3 grandchildren James Curtis Love Jr, Cameron Paul Dixon, and Alyssa Carolyn Dixon.

Gene is a Los Alamos High School graduate, attended UNM for 3 years, & joined the Navy shortly after for 4 years. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and enjoyed riding his motorcycle on his days off.

A Rosary service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023; 9:30 AM with a Mass service at 10:00 AM at Risen Savior located at 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
