Geneva Christine (Archuleta) Escarsega, 39, was called home on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Born to Leopoldo Archuleta and Darlene Lorraine (Turrietta) Archuleta on October 1, 1984, in Socorro, New Mexico. She was the second born of five children. Throughout her lifetime she served many roles, touching many people’s lives along the way. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, an auntie, a life partner, and a friend.
Geneva loved to laugh and dance; she could always be found jamming out to oldies and music while she would be sweeping up in her family home. Geneva had the ability to make the people she loved the most feel loved and supported, she knew what to do to make us laugh and smile and feel loved even if she was struggling to feel those things herself. Her bright smile, warm heart, funny personality, and fiery spirit let Geneva impact a lot of people throughout the course of her lifetime. She made a lot of lifelong, loyal friends, whom she has either known since childhood or for years. Some of which were her childhood friends Samantha (Lucero) Baca, Mona Soto, and her sisters, Mirand Martinez, Jamie Talamante, and her beloved “Friend” Lorraine Moreno just to name a few. She would always be so bright saying “Hi, Friend” every time she came across them. Geneva was also a support system and mother figure to her younger brother and sister as they grew up.
Geneva would always say her greatest accomplishments in her life were her children. Emarie, Lil Leonard, Angelito “Lito”, Crucito “Cruz”, “June”, Banessa “Bubbles”, and Miguel “Bubba”.
