Genevieve Aquiar Mirabal

MIRABAL- Genevieve Aquiar Mirabal, nee Saucedo, serenely slipped away from this life into the arms of our Lord at her home in Rio Rancho on Friday, June 3, 2011. She was born in Deming, New Mexico to Juan and Savina Saucedo on January 3, 1915. She left behind her brother, Demetrio Saucedo, from Deming, NM; daughter, Irene and her husband, Juan Trujillo, from Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Sally Mitchell from Many Farms, AZ; daughter, Maria and husband, Deacon Tom Burns, from Rio Rancho, NM.; and daughter-in law, Enedina Aquiar , of El Paso, TX. She was blessed with many grandchildren, Diana (Dan) Perez, Veronica (Andrew) Baca, Kathryn Aquiar, Peter Aquiar, Beatriz Aquiar, Izzy Aquiar, Rebecca (Hector) Esparza, Theresa Ruiz(Manuel), Rafael Gonzales, Maria Mitchell (Eric) Jackson, Selita Mitchell, Katchee Lee (Leslie) Mitchell, Christopher (Elysha) Cowles, Stephen Cowles, William (Kristy) Tinney, Deanna Aquiar, Phillip (Sandra) Burns, and Paul Burns. In addition, she had 30 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jose Aquiar; second husband, Ramon Mirabal; her sons, Samuel Aquiar and Peter Aquiar; daughter, Rosie Cowles; son-in-law, LeRoy Mitchell; grandsons, Israel & Joe Aquiar; great-grandson, Robert Campa; brothers, Manuel Saucedo, Tomas Saucedo, Miguel Saucedo, Felipe Saucedo, Juan Saucedo, David Saucedo, Alberto Saucedo, and Carlos Saucedo; and sisters, Leonardita, Seveita, and Refugia. She was a communicant at St. Thomas Aquinas. She was a homemaker, loving mother, and doting grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a kind and gentle spirit. We love her and will miss her greatly; she was our matriarch. Rosary and Mass will be June 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho.
