George Alexander Arnot

August 21, 1926 — March 31, 2018

George Alexander Arnot Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his children in his home on March 31, 2018 at the age of 91. A resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1931, born in Phoenix Arizona on August 21, 1926. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Viola Arnot, his sister Peggy Merkel, his beloved wife, Mary Lou after 59+ years together in marriage, and their son Mark. He is survived by his sisters Jean McIntyre and Mary (Vic) Fattor, sons; Michael (Denise), Marty, daughter Gail (Martin) Estrada, sons Matt (Deena), Marvin, and Morgan, his grandchildren; Hunter, Steven, David, Mark, Ty and Christopher. George served in WWII, graduated from UNM with a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Sandia National Labs for 37 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for 35 years and the Archdioceses of Santa Fe. Upon retirement from Sandia, he taught at NMHU for 10 years. After his second retirement he got involved with family genealogy for many years up to his death. Grave side services will be private. May he Rest in Peace, until we all meet again.
