George France

FRANCE, George Augustus, Jr. a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 91. George was born in Perrysburg, Ohio on September 12, 1922. George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Agnes France who passed away in July; his Father, George Augustus France of Ohio, and his Mother, Nona G. Delaplane-France of Ohio. George is survived by many nieces and nephews. George served our country as a Gunner�s Mate, First Class in the U.S. Coast Guard; he enlisted in 1942 and separated with honors in 1946 to pursue a lifetime career with his father at the France Stone Company in Toledo, Ohio. After retirement, George and Agnes lived in California then moved to Albuquerque. George nurtured many dearly loved pets during his life. George is now resting in peace with Agnes whom he would lovingly kiss upon awaking every morning during their entire marriage. Both George & Agnes will be greatly missed by many good friends and caregivers in our community. Visitation will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, Daniels Family Funeral Services-Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment is scheduled Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm, Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
