George R. Lindsay

Lindsay, George R. Age 94, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was born in Bronx, NY on November 22, 1917. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Marion Irene (Mather) Lindsay in 1989; parents, George and Henrietta Lindsay; sisters, Lillian Petit, Dorothy Calasacco, Bertha Langsam-Goldstein; brothers, William Lindsay, Richard Lindsay, Herbert Lindsay, John Lindsay. George retired from the US Post Office in 1973 as the Assist Postmaster of Mineola, NY. He also retired from the U.S. Army on November 22, 1977 as Sergeant Major serving in the Pacific Theater WWII. A Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am, with a Funeral Service following at 11:30 am, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. He will be Interred with his loving wife at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 pm, Thursday, May 24, 2012. The Reverend Doctor Jennifer Phillips of St. Francis Episcopal Church will be officiating.
