Age 84, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014. He was born in Bowie, TX on May 17, 1930, to Jewell M. Shaw and Effie O. Whorton. George served his country as a United States Marine from September 16, 1948 to August 15, 1952; United States Navy from November 3, 1954 and was honorably discharged on November 2, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brother H.L. Shaw, Maxell "Mac" Shaw, and Glen Shaw. George is survived by his son Jeff and Lisa Shaw of Lawton, OK; sister Elizabeth Ann Shaw Savary (Kent) of Arlington, TX; grand daughters Rachel and Meredith Shaw; family and friend Deanna Shaw-Becker and William Becker; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The pallbearers are Monty Shaw, Odell Shaw, Justin Shaw, Jeremy Shaw, Eric Brown, Craig Shaw, and Chris Shaw. Ronnie Shaw will be officiating a graveside service on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 1:30 pm, Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM.
