Georgia Belle Newberry Jones Georgia Belle Newberry Jones was born on December 6, 1930 in Barton, New Mexico, a town now named Edgewood. The daughter of Addie Marie Mallott Newberry and William Herbert �Herb� Newberry, Georgia was the youngest of three children. At the age of nine, upon her father�s death in a motor vehicle accident, Georgia moved with her family to a small house next to her maternal grandparents, affectionately known as Grandma and Pop. Georgia attended schools in the Moriarty and Mountainair areas and graduated from Moriarty High School in 1948. After graduation, Georgia worked as a waitress at a Clines Corners truck stop where she would meet her husband, Dallas C. (D.C.) Jones. Georgia and D.C. married on June 18, 1949. They moved from the Estancia Valley to Peralta, New Mexico in the early 1950s and soon began their family. Georgia and D.C. also began their small dairy farm in the 1950s, a family business that now marks 60 plus years and three generations. Georgia was faithfully involved in her family church, belonging to the women�s group, serving as the church secretary, assisting with both Sunday and Bible schools, singing in the choir, and leading the church prayer chain. Georgia and her husband were also active members of the Gideon organization. Georgia traveled extensively with D.C. and the Associated Milk Producer Incorporated (AMPI) cooperative, of which he was a celebrated officer. Georgia retired with D.C. from Jones Dairy in 1986, passing the business onto their son Ron. In 2004, she moved with D.C. to Veguita next to her son Ron and remained there under his care and that of her daughter Diana after the passing of her husband in 2007 before moving to Albuquerque in 2011. Georgia was a woman of great faith in her Lord who lived, worked and loved her family and found the greatest joy in her grandchildren. She had a life filled with warm, embracing friends and was always willing to help whenever she was needed. Georgia passed away on November 17, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas C. Jones and her son, Charles Duane; her mother, Addie Marie Mallott Newberry, her father, William Herbert Newberry, her stepfather, Alva Lee Halderman, and her brother, Robert C. Newberry. She is survived by her sister, Alma Lee Harris; her sister-in-law, Bobbye Williams; her son, Ron Jones and his wife Linda, their children Dale Jones, his wife Susie, Jeff Jones, his wife Azuree, and Michael Jones, his wife Liz; her daughter, Diana Clark, her children Dwight Clark, Deborah Clark, and Kristy Pareo and her husband Jim; and her daughter Darlene Otero, her husband Luke, their children Alyssa Sanchez, Lucas Otero, and Victoria Otero; her great-grandchildren, Brandon Dale, Bradley Dallas, Brittney Sue, Taylor Bryan, Duane Charles, Joshua Gabriel, Dylan Michael, Cody Dallas, Stephen Shawn, Jordan Andres, Micaela Rae, Jason Charles, Jared Christopher, and Jaden Mariah. A visitation for Georgia will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Avenue, SE, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funerals services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Belen, 401 Becker Avenue, followed by internment at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd, SE.
