Georgina Ruth Alcala, 84, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away February 12 2017at home with her family. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family members at Daniels Funeral Home, where her ashes will be scattered as per her request. Georgina was born in the county of London on the fourth of January 1933. As a single woman, she embarked on a journey to the United States of America. She traveled across the country before finally settling in San Francisco. She worked for the Bechtel Corporation until her retirement. She traveled with work to the Czech Republic, India and Texas. She is survived by her son, Paul Alcala; her four grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew, Ryan and Ares Alcala; and her brother, Albert “Terry” Gibbs. In lieu of flowers Georgina would be honored if a toy or coat would be donated to your local children’s charity in her name.
