Gerald E. Wertz

Wertz, Gerald E. Age 83, beloved and devoted husband was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was born in El Dorado, KS and was a resident of Albuquerque. During Gerald younger years he was avid sports person who was rewarded many trophies. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served his country during World War II. Gerald was a member of the American Legion Post #69. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Solange Wertz of Albuquerque, NM; his sister, Maxine Mott; nieces, Patty Warren and husband Randy, Onna Stouers and Kathy and husband, Ron Deschepper; nephew, Michael and wife, Karen Mott; many cousins and friends. Gerald will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, at the family''s request, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, P.O.
