Geronimo “Jerry” Ortiz
Our beloved Jerry passed away surrounded by his family on March 1, 2016. He was born on June 26, 1938 and raised in Las Vegas, NM took over the family business “ORTIZ ELECTRIC”. After retiring he moved to Rio Rancho in 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents Pita and Alfonso G. Ortiz Sr. and In-laws Leonisia and Moises Lucero.
He is survived by Ernestine Ortiz, wife of 53 years; Son Moises Ortiz and wife Edwina of Albuquerque; Daughter Christine Ortiz and special friend David of Rio Rancho; Grandchildren Christopher Ortiz, Diego Ortiz and Alicia Ortiz; Brothers and Sisters, Alfonso Ortiz Jr. (Sallie Ann) of Las Vegas, Viola Maez, of Las Vegas, Diane Alvarado of Santa Fe, Martha LeFebre (Ted) of Las Vegas, Helen Ludi (Billy) of Rio Rancho, Nancy Garduno of Denver, Jimmy Ortiz (Joann) of Las Vegas and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Rosary will be recited Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00am with mass following at 10:30am at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
Pallbearers Christopher Ortiz, Diego Ortiz, Alfonso Ortiz III, Michael Marquez, Lizardo Lucero, Alfred Marquez and Salvador Coca.
