Gertrude M. Rael

Rael, Gertrude Gertrude Rael passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the age of 90 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Folsom, New Mexico to Nabor and Casilda Gutierrez on November 1, 1921. She married Albert on November 6, 1937 and they raised eight children. They moved to Clayton in 1959. She retired from Union County General Hospital. Gertrude had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past 13 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; parents, Nabor and Casilda; brothers, Vincente and Max; sister, Rosabell and grandson Alberto Abran. Gertrude is survived by her children, Lola and Herb Marshall, Betty and Eloy Vigil, Gloria and Arthur Grine. Joann Fitzgerald, Alberto Rael Jr., Suejane Combs, Ralph and Cathie Rael, Ray and Kelly Rael, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and sister Tina Rivera. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
