Gianna Elea Martinez

MARTINEZ- Gianna Elea Martinez, 14, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past three years, formerly of Albuquerque and Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2009. Gianna was born April 3, 1995 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of John Martin and Lea Ann Zecca Martinez. She was a freshman at the Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Jennie Martinez; aunt, Mary Elizabeth Zecca and three cousins, Megan Whipple, Tony Zecca, and Alan Zecca. Gianna is survived by her parents, John and Lea Martinez; brother, Giovanni Martinez; sister, Jenine Martinez; paternal grandfather, Eloy Martinez; maternal grandparents, Guido and JoAnn Zecca; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. The Rosary will be recited on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. The Interment will be on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup, New Mexico.
