Gilles Boisvert

Gilles B. Boisvert, age 85, was surrounded by his family when he was taken to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was born March 1, 1928 in Danville, Quebec Canada. Gilles was a resident of Grants, NM from 1967 to 1974 where he worked as a Uranium Miner. He was a business owner in Gallup, NM for several years and continued his business adventures when he arrived in Albuquerque, NM in 1981. During his retirement, Gilles enjoyed traveling, gardening tomatoes and roses, spending time with his family, and lounging with his two cats. Gilles will be fondly remembered as a hard worker with a good sense of humor and for his generous and soft heart. He was always willing to help others. Gilles is survived by his loving wife, Pauline of 58 years; children, Huguette Thorson and husband Jeff of Asbury, NJ, Claire Tillman and husband John of Grants, NM and Marc Boisvert and wife Kelly of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Thorson, Katherine and Christine Tillman, and Lydia and Hannah Boisvert. He is also survived by four sisters and six brothers, all of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Services to celebrate his life will be on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at John XXIII Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr., Albuquerque, NM.
