Glenn Albert Rose, 70, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 at home following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his Parents Albert and Dorothy Rose and step son Ray Luna. He is survived by his wife Maritess Rose; his Brother Robert Rose and his children Jonathon Rose, Kelly Rose, Ashley Rose and step children, Matt Luna, Sam Luna , Jennifer Luna; and many grand children and close friends.
Born and raised in Hayward, California, he relocated to the central Rio Grande Valley, in Belen New Mexico for several years and later became a resident of Albuquerque, where got married to Maritess Rose, the new love of his life, Ashley's mother, who is now a traveling nurse. In his early years, Mr. Rose would deliver newspapers and graduated Moreau high school. He was caught up in the late 60's peace movement, went to many concerts, where his love of music started, and also began working as an automobile mechanic.
After serving as an advocate for peace in the Bay Area he relocated to New Mexico and began working in the automobile repair business. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. Over the years, his expertise and reputation led him to opening his own mechanic shop in NE Albuquerque known as Glenn’s Auto repair, and retired and became a landlord for several rental properties. A passionate believer in affordable housing for Nurses, Glenn made his rental properties available for Nurses during COVID and contributed significantly to area hospital readiness by doing so, the use of his properties he made a difference in the lives of Nurses in Albuquerque. A Memorial service will be held November 27, 2021 at 10 am by Daniels Family Funeral Services, New Mexico.
