Gordon John Buchanan

Gordon John Buchanan, age 67, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born January 15, 1954 in Woodstock, Canada to Robert Buchanan and Patricia McCauley.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Buchanan, his brother, Norman Buchanan, and his sister, Deborah Ann Garneau. He is survived by his son, Michael Buchanan of Bakersfield, CA; daughter, Jennifer Levin (John) of Winthrop Harbor, IL; daughter, Alisha Zimmerman of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Ron Buchanan (Lynda) of Chandler, AZ; his mother, Patricia Buchanan for Chandler, AZ; his former wife, Tami Zimmerman of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

 

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He had also been employed by the VA Hospital for 16 years.

 

His interests and hobbies included: a Washington Redskins fan; journaling; horse races; dog races; racquetball; Rocky movies; Western movies; shooting, and motorcycles.

 

His Memorial Service was held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
