Gordon Wolfel

Gordon (Gus) Smith Wolfel, age 86, passed away Friday, March 2nd in Albuquerque, NM.  Gus was born on June 2, 1931 in Baltimore, MD to Anna and William Wolfel. After several years in the trucking business, Gus moved to San Antonio, NM to run The Wolfel Farm. Gus is survived by his wife, Velma, of 24 years, brother, Donald Wolfel, and 6 step children: Milbourne Craig (prior marriage), Bernie Romero Jr, Carolina Romero, Gregorio Romero, Augustin Romero and Felicia Romero.  Gus was an amazing friend who had a kind heart and a unique sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Gus will be cremated by Daniels Family Funeral Services. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Sourdough Mine in Socorro, NM from 1-3pm.
