Gregory Allan Montano

Greg Allan Montano, passed away at the age of 50 on December 29, 2023.  Greg was born on January 8, 1973, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Lawrence and Angie Montano.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Eliseo and Juanita Lovato as well as his paternal grandparents Antonio and Julia Montano.  He is survived by his wife, M.J. Montano, daughters:  Geniva Welch, Natasha Olivas, Marissa Montano, and Julie Andres; Sons:  Chris Andres and Jordan Montano; parents: Lawrence and Angie Montano; brothers:  Lawrence Montano Jr., Armando Montano and Anthony Montano; and sister Angela Contreras.  Greg had four grandchildren.

He was married thirteen years to MJ Montano and was a member at Legacy Church.

Greg graduated from Valley High School in 1990 and he enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates and loved helping people.  At the City of Albuquerque, he was named employee of the year in 2022 and received the Albuquerque Solid Waste Good Samaritan Award in 2017.
