Guy William Wong-Denman, 67, father, grandfather and brother was called home to our Heavenly Father on May 28, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born in Corona, CA on Aug 24, 1954.
He spent the first 15 years primarily in Southern California growing up on the beach. At 15 the family moved to Olympia, WA for a couple of years and in 1969 moved to Anchorage AK. Throughout all his travels Alaska would always be considered his home.
As a youth Guy was extremely gifted in sports (baseball, football, tennis and swim) and academics (math, science, history and engineering). His natural entrepreneurial ability and engineering skills led him into the next 50+ years of gov’t contracting, construction and mining resource engineering using air, water and precious metals.
Along his journey he met Daisy, married and had 3 beautiful girls. He was and became an accomplished cook and baker with chef like abilities, a martial arts specialist (black belt) along with his wife and girls. Traveled throughout the world on mining ventures including Europe, Africa, Central and South America and the majority of all the US. Mining was always in his blood since his first gold panning experience in Alaska at 17 years old.
His greatest accomplishments were his wife and children who were the real jewels in his life. He believed in God and country and was always a testament to the value of being born in America. He was loved dearly and will be missed, may he now go with God.
Guy is survived by his daughters, Kristen Ann Wong-Denman (Ryan Taylor Moore) of Arizona, Stephanie Gin Bertram (Brandon Kenneth Bertram) of Texas, Brieanna Corrine Labatte (Jesse KU’ikahi Labatte) of Arizona; grandchildren, Tucker Jet Bertram, Brinley Taylor Moore, Tatum Pax Bertram and Kailani Bee Labatte. He is also survived by siblings, Kim Larrabee (Steven) of Alaska, Cynthia (Stephan) Wells of Virginia, Scott (Jane) Denman of New Mexico, Casey Denman of Washington, Jerri (Roy) Gray of Nevada, John (Amie) Lenzi of Washington, Stephanie (James) Williams of Alaska and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Daisy Wong-Denman; his parents, William James Denman and Kathleen Therese Denman.
