RODERICK- Gwendolyn L. Roderick, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 30 years passed away April 5, 2011. She is survived by her children, Jeri Newton and husband Steve of Phoenix, AZ, Mark Roderick and wife Kathy of Rio Rancho, NM; six grandchildren, Mark Newton and wife April, Greg Andersen and wife Bonnie, Kalista Andersen, Kirsten Andersen, Kara Lonstad and Kaycee Lonstad; three great grandchildren, Michael Newton, Meagan Newton and Mallory Newton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 1997; sister, Evelyn Barnes in 2010, parents, Joseph and Florence DeRoche from Bobtown, PA. She was a 1942 graduate of Point Marion High School. She loved to garden, enjoyed Sunday drives and especially loved going to Laughlin, NV. She was a caring individual who had a soft spot for animals, especially her own dogs. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gwendolyn’s name to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 833 Gibson Boulevard SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, 505-247-4381. A Visitation will begin at 4:00pm, Monday, April 11, 2011, with Funeral Services to follow at 6:00pm, Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will be held at 1:30pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2011, Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. A Reception will be held following the services at American Legion, Post 118, 1500 Barbara Loop SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, 505-892-6944.
