Henry Clay Cobb, known by everyone as Hank, passed away peacefully in his home in Lincoln, California surrounded by his close family on July 18, 2020. He was a kind man with kind words for everyone he knew; living his life by the Golden Rule. Hank was born on July 21, 1936 to Henry and Selma (Cochran) Cobb in Magdalena, New Mexico. He moved to California during World War II and graduated from Modesto High School in 1954. He served in the Air Force from 1954-1958 and began a career in the heavy truck industry. Hank achieved much success as a Parts Manager for Peterbilt and Freightliner Truck Dealerships prior to his retirement in 2001.
Hank loved hunting, fishing, boating, shooting trap & skeet, and was an accomplished woodworker. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching and attending high school, college, and professional football games. He was a dedicated youth baseball coach for seven years and youth soccer coach for two years. He enjoyed being a part of his beloved Lincoln Hills community and was active in community clubs and activities.
Hank is survived by his wife of 59 years Glenda Cobb and his children Roy and Janelle Cobb. He was a beloved grandfather to his grandsons Bryant and Brandon Cobb. He is survived by his sister Roselyn (Cobb) Heck and Sharon (Spray) Bouldin. He was preceded in death by sisters Norma (Cobb) McDaniel, Melba (Cobb) Corbiser, and brother Gordon Spray. He is a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2021 when it is safe to gather together again.
