Harold Delano Jenkerson, 84, of Datil, NM, entered into his eternal glorious heavenly home on January 31, 2021. He was born in Esther, MO to the late Pearl (McCutcheon) and Burlon Jenkerson. He was a minister of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for over 60 years. He served in the Signal Corps of the United States Army and also worked as a miner, fire lookout and teacher throughout his life. Harold was kind and compassionate to all. He spent his life serving God and sharing with everyone he encountered the salvation and life changing power that a relationship with Jesus can bring. He pastored the First Baptist Church of Datil. Harold earned his PhD in Biblical Counseling and was the founder of the Tabernacle Counseling Ministries, through which he gave many teachings and conference presentations. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his first wife, Rhonda (Adams), siblings Baby Jenkerson, Berlin Eugene Jenkerson, Gladene Lashley, Marry Currington, Ruth Stinnett, Susie Lundmark, Doris Preston, Rita Mae Wofford, Donald Jenkerson, Cletus Jenkerson, Johnny Jenkerson, and daughter Esther Grace Jenkerson. Harold is survived by his wife (Lu)Ann Jenkerson, daughters Pauli Jenkerson, Jenny (Jim) Heath, Valerie (Darren) Dickson, Rhonda Joy (Tony) Keller, sons Keith (Dana) Jenkerson, Ken (Naura) Jenkerson, Seth (Emily) Jenkerson, Joseph (Jennifer) Jenkerson, Charlie (Jackie) Jenkerson, and siblings Blanche Jenkerson, Barbara Gammon, James (Becky) Jenkerson, David (Mary Lou) Jenkerson, Charles Jenkerson, Janis (Jerry) Gowan, special niece Kay Marler, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great- grandchildren. Harold was an example of gentleness, kindness and compassion. He loved the Lord and all people. In lieu of flowers, Harold’s desire was to fully vest the Esther Jenkerson Memorial Scholarship at Sterling College in Sterling, KS.
