Born in Springfield, MA, he served in the Army during the Korean War in Austria. Hal was an Aerospace Engineer and was very proud to have worked at Cape Canaveral, Florida and on the Hubbell Space Telescope guidance system for B.E.I. in Little Rock, AK.
Hal has lived in several states but has called the Albuquerque foothills his home for the last 30 years. He loved the vistas, weather, and wild animals of the foothills.
Hal is survived by his wife Carole of 53 years and son, Stephen Rising of Las Vegas, NV. He is preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Rising.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 25, at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Wyoming Chapel; 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. He will be laid to rest in the Sandia Memory Gardens with a view of the Sandia Mountains he loved. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service.
