Harry D. Thurlo

Harry D. Thurlo, 87, of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at San Juan Regional Medical Center, in Farmington. He was born February 3, 1923, in Thoreau, New Mexico to Silas and Mary Elizabeth Buckner Thurlo. He was preceeded in death by his parents, seven siblings and his first wife of 54 years, Fern. Harry is survived by his wife of nine and one half years, Lenora; children, Karen Miner (Charles), H. David, Jr.(Aimee), Linda F. (Zafer) Buyukbayraktar, and Thomas Thurlo; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S, Army in World War II, in the European Theater. Harry worked as a carpenter most of his life. He also loved music and was known for his harmonica playing. Harry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
