Harvey L. Vogue

Lt. Col. Harvey Lloyd Vogue DDS, USAF (ret.), 85, passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017, with his children at his bedside in Edgewood, NM.
Born in Alameda, California, he attended Chico High School and entered the U.S Air Force after graduation. He served in California and Okinawa, then left the service to attend Marquette University dental school in Wisconsin. After receiving his degree he returned to the Air Force and completed his career as a general dentist and then endodontic specialist, stationed from coast to coast and in Turkey and Germany.
His avocations included his cars, ranging from a VW bug to his Mercedes, and “investing with risk” at his favorite casinos. Over the years he enjoyed bowling, golf, woodworking, his Dachshunds, and music—he played violin as a youngster, but always liked country music and picked up the guitar in recent years. He loved to travel, and generously provided opportunities for his children and grandchildren to enjoy cruising, trips to Hawaii and Disney, and his annual trip to Las Vegas.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Judith (Heinze), by his son Eric Vogue, and by his sister Halaine Steeley. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Hallie A. Ray and husband David, of Edgewood, NM; his son, Curt Vogue and wife Karen of San Diego, CA, and his daughter, Laurel Vogue-Martinez and husband Billy, of Tijeras, NM, as well as grandchildren Clare, Chloe, Kevin and Isabelle.

A celebration of life will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel, at 1pm on April 1, 2017.

Interment at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium will occur later this year.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society.
