Hazel May DuBois

DuBois, Hazel May, (1932 - 2021), Passed away on June 12th, 2021, she was 88 years old.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward A. DuBois Sr.; son, Edward Jr and his wife Stephanie of Albuquerque; son, Mark Waggoner of Las Vegas; many nieces, nephews, and cousins in her native Ohio; and countless friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William Daniels and Ella Niewoehner, all nine of her brothers and sisters, her first husband Everett Waggoner, and her eldest son Michael Waggoner. She was born and raised in Eaton, Ohio before coming out west to Deming, NM and later Albuquerque in the 1960’s.  From there, Hazel lived in the Philippines, Clovis, NM, and Las Vegas, NV with Ed while he was in the Air Force before heading back to Albuquerque permanently in 1981. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, and loyal friend to all.  She was a relentless dedicated worker, always the team mom, a collector of angels, a converted Buffalo Bills fan, and had a wonderful sense of humor.  She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. A brief grave site service and interment will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday June 17th, 2021, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  A small reception to follow at Ed and Stephanie DuBois’ Residence, 7220 General Kearny CT NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  Please dress casually, including shorts, and no dark colors!
