Heather Maria Scanlon

Scanlon, Heather Maria age 53 died on Friday, August 1, 2014 peacefully in her home due to the advancement of her cancer. She leaves her husband, Bob, and her daughters, Taylor and Wesley. She was born on June 14, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents Don and Ardith Kaiser, both of whom survive her along with all of her brothers and sisters, including her twin sister, Holly. An avid visual artist and graphic designer, Heather�s penchant for art allowed her to find beauty in the simplest things and make the simplest things beautiful. Her youthful demeanor and style complemented her natural beauty in a way that always left people underestimating her true age. She was as good a listener as one could ever hope to talk to and equally easy to listen to. She possessed an extraordinary sense of humor that could make the newest acquaintance feel like the oldest friend. Heather always put the needs of others before her own, showing concern for the emotional wellbeing of loved ones more than her own deteriorating health. An unfailingly Godly woman, her faith and her wisdom were an inspiration to all. She was unmatched in each of her roles; mother, daughter, wife, sister, and friend, and she will be dearly missed. A service will be held at Strong-Thorne Chapel at 1100 Coal Ave SE on Saturday, August 9th at 11:00am, and a reception will follow.
