Helen Felt
FELT, Helen (born Teodora Elena Alderete), passed away peacefully on March 4, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, days before her 93rd birthday. Helen was born March 10, 1923 in Bosque, New Mexico to Marcelino Alderete and Soledad Castillo. She lived most of her life in Albuquerque, with periods of time when she lived in Japan, Utah, Texas, and Washington, DC. She was a fit, energetic, and indefatigable woman much loved and respected by her family, friends, colleagues, and clients of her tailoring business which she operated into her mid-eighties. Helen had a wry sense of humor and quick wit that kept us all chuckling even in her last days. She will be greatly missed.
Helen is survived by her six children Leonard Felt, Mary Kathleen “Mikki" Lohmann (Alan), Conrad “Tony” Felt (Sally), Joseph Felt (Jackie), Teresa Sarai (Baldev), and Irene Larkin (Dan); ten grandchildren Aaron Lohmann, Jolie Rocha, Alana Lohmann, Dillon Felt, Dustin Felt, Cassandra Felt, Richard Felt, Nicholas Sarai, Eva Sarai, Cole Larkin; and thirteen precious great-grandchildren (Emily, Luke, Alexis, Tori, Jakob, Dominic, Bella, Lauren, Taliyah, Rocky, Sophia, Asher and Aurora). She is also survived by her sister Clorinda Garcia, and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
