Helen S Garcia

GARCIA - Helen S. Garcia, 68, passed away June 21, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on September 21, 1942 in Luis Lopez, New Mexico to Pablo and Altagracia (Saavedra) Garcia.. She is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Lucy S. Garcia; her brothers Tereso “Ted” Garcia and wife, Edna; Adolfo Garcia and wife Lugie; and Freddie Garcia and wife Sally; and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Socorro. Helen worked for the Socorro Consolidated Schools for many years, where she loved her job and the students that she assisted. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Daniels Family Funeral Services Socorro Chapel followed by a Rosary that will be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as celebrant. Interment will be held in the Luis Lopez Cemetery in San Antonio, NM. Pallbearers are Anthony Baca, Pat Chavez, Steve Garcia, Andrew Carver, Frankie Rice, and Gene Saavedra. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Smith, Adolfo Garcia, Tereso Garcia, Hector Carrillo, and Ray Garcia.
