Helen Elaine Leydig

Helen Elaine Leydig (Smith) passed away peacefully in her Albuquerque home, surrounded by her children on Monday, November 28th, 2022.

She was born on November 21, 1938, in her Grandma Huldie’s home in Glencoe, PA. The house was, sadly, swept away by the Glencoe Flood of 1984.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Leydig, parents, Robert and Helen Smith of Berlin, PA. Her sister, Kay Vinson of Martinsburg, WV and sister-in-law, Carla Smith (wife of Stanley Smith) of Berlin, PA.

She is survived by her children; sons Rick Leydig and wife Sue of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Leydig and wife Pam of Albuquerque, NM. Daughter, Linda Falvey and husband Brendan of Tewksbury, MA. Her grandchildren, Ariana Fernando, Lisa Autry, Jade Trujillo as well as Kyra and Sean Falvey. Also, great-grandsons Ezra and Luke Trujillo. Her brother Stanley Smith of Berlin, PA. Nephews, Ralph Smith, Matthew Smith and Robert Vinson and niece, Sherri Tollari.

Elaine will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque, NM.

There will be no funeral or interment services.
