Helene Agnes Hansen

Helene Agnes Hansen of Albuquerque NM died March 10, 2023 of complications related to pneumonia. She was surrounded by a loving circle of family at the time of her passing.  Born Helene Agnes Bickel on August 7, 1934 in Saginaw Michigan to Agnes Lillian and Otto Johann Bickel, she is survived by her sons Jeff and Greg Hansen, her daughter Karen Pannos, her grandchildren Craig, Erik and Lillian and Anders Hansen and great grandchildren children, Otto and Amos Buckner.  Near to her heart was her daughter in law Rhonda Hansen and son in law Reece Buckner.  A retired public health nurse, Helene loved walking every day, baseball and her Detroit Tigers, building doll houses, and the company of friends. Above all else, family was her greatest joy in life, and nothing brought her more happiness than being with her children and grandchildren, and planning and organizing decades of family reunions. A member of Faith Lutheran Church, her faith in God and her Lutheran tradition were central to her life, from birth until her passing.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 21^st at Daniels Family Funeral Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM. Friends can greet family an hour before the service. A brief commitment service will be held at 11:00 am on May 5^th at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in Saginaw MI.
