Beasley, Henry F., MSgt (Retired)
Age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stilson, GA on February 4, 1939, to Joseph and Lauree (Brannon) Beasley. Henry will be remembered for his kind nature, nonjudgemental spirit and his love for his family. Upon graduation, Henry was drafted into the U.S. Army where he proudly served for 26 years, encompassing two tours in Vietnam. Henry was stationed at Stallion Site and during this time he met his loving wife of 52 years, Frances (Montoya) Beasley. After his retirement from the military, Henry worked for the Naval Space Surveillance System in T or C, NM for 15 years and resided there for 21 years. After his tenure with the Naval Space Surveillance System, he and Frances moved to Socorro, where he lived the remainder of his life. Through the years, Henry and Frances were stationed at worldwide locations where they developed many lifelong friendships that they considered close and dear family. Henry and Frances shared many activities. In particular, they teamed up in softball and bowling leagues together. Henry was a master hunter and fisherman. His love for the outdoors and nature were shared with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Henry R. Beasley; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Alex P. Lopez, Cardenio Montoya Sr.; and many brothers and sisters. Henry is survived by wife, Frances; son, James Beasley; daughter, Pamela Monette and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Matthew Hall, Cody, Colton, Kameron, Skyla, and Conner Beasley, Tucker Perdue, Ashton and Cadyn Monette; great grandchildren, Axel, Coby, Macy, Orion, Levi and Evelyn Beasley. Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro with Deacon Mike Ybarra officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery in Lemitar, NM where Henry will be honored with his final salute. Pallbearers will be Rick Gallegos, Manuel Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Nick Morales, Scotty Crespin, Tyler Lam, and Jared Lam.
